Richard Bishop, originally from Cardiff, spent most of his career working in Manchester after obtaining a degree in Business Information Systems and Marketing from the University of Central Lancashire.
Before pursuing a career in education, Richard worked in various management positions for several blue-chip companies. However, he had a strong desire to make a positive impact in the lives of young people and decided to transition into teaching. Since then, he has held leadership positions, including Head of Faculty, Head of Year, and Head of Key Stage 4 Achievement, which allowed him to enhance his skills in education and leadership.
As an Assistant Headteacher, Richard brings a wealth of experience and a strong dedication to education. His experience in the education sector has made him realize the significance of creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. He is committed to ensuring that Sunmarke School continues to be a place where students can grow and learn, both academically and personally.
